Notices- New Property Values Available for review

Lorain County Property Owners:  My office has now completed the 2024 State-mandated reappraisal.  State law requires the County Auditor to appraise all real property every six years.  The last time properties were appraised in this manner was in 2018.  Referred to as a reappraisal, the Auditor must reappraise each individual property through a mass appraisal process that determines an indication of market value as of January 1, 2024.  Each property was viewed coupled with neighborhood sales to determine an individual value.

An Informal Review will be held for property owners who would like to discuss their new tentative property value.  Property Owners are not required to attend this meeting.  However, if you have questions or concerns about your valuation, you may want to consider attending.  You will receive a letter with instructions on how, when and where to schedule a meeting for your area.  Letters will be sent out in groups corresponding to the areas and times where the meetings will be most convenient to your property location.  You can view the dates and locations of the meetings here. You can review your valuation by clicking on the map image or scaning the QR code.
